Renda Rose is among the nations most sought after voices, as she boldly stands as a spokesperson for those with internal wounds and unheard cries. A life coach, motivational speaker, and inspirational poet all but scratch the surface of who Renda Rose is.

Resilient defines this woman who uses the devastation of her youth as a testament that there is indeed life after death! Having experienced the aftermath of molestation and rape at the hand of her biological uncle, which started at the tender age of 5; this plague again met her at the age of 19, when she was brutally raped by a couple of felons; one of which a convicted murderer.
Oh yes! Ms. Rose is well acquainted with the stifling affects of abuse. Because Renda didn’t have the tools to properly heal, the aftermath of this devastation stayed with her, and would ricochet into her adulthood. Renda Rose has arisen victorious over a 20 year stint of drug addiction and depression. Nine of these years Renda spent homeless on the streets of Philadelphia. She proclaims that her turn around happened in the solitude of a rehabilitation institution.

Today, Ms. Rose stands by her statement that she was, “wounded only for a moment, and on purpose.” That purpose is to speak life into broken hearts of the young and old, from all walks of life across the nations. With thirteen victorious years of sobriety, Ms. Rose stands free from her past of desolation, shame, and insecurity. And once becoming totally clean from her addictions, Renda became a volunteer aid for five years at the very day shelter which once was a place of refuge for her.

Though on the move, Renda still has a strong passion for individuals addicted to drugs, and without a home; and is putting action behind her passion as she builds her nonprofit company, Rosewaters Inc. which will serve to educate, empower, and equip these individuals with the tools necessary to acquire healing and success. Ms. Rose firmly believes that, “healing is a choice!”

With a growing resume, Renda has worked with Victims Services of Montgomery Co. in the state of Pennsylvania, made a national television appearance on Channel 8, It’s Your Call with Lynn Dole, and was also featured on the international radio broadcast, In the RAWW with Paula Edwards. She has also hosted her very own internet talk show called, Heart to Heart.

There’s no stopping this dynamic woman now that she is finally walking in her purpose! Ms. Rose is preparing for the release of her very first manuscript entitled, Grace and Mercy Brought Me Home, a masterpiece which details her incredible transformation from a mere weed, into the beautiful “rose” she is today! Additionally she is currently a spokesperson for The Truth Behind Incest the Movement, and has availed herself for speaking engagements from large banquets, to small intimate settings; sharing her wisdom and insight with diverse audiences. She has also traveled far and near imparting hope, truth, and inspiration through her phenomenal gift of poetry. Renda’s poems have been likened to the remarkable and highly acclaimed, Maya Angelou. Renda makes her poems available in gift sets, which are great for all occasions.

With a personal desire to see wounded hearts healed, and to bring restoration back to the mother/daughter unit, driven to aide people from all walks of life that have somehow gotten off track along this journey called life to find their course; Renda has set out to spread her revelation about “Truth and Choices.”

Renda Rose, a woman of great faith, courage, and zeal is taking on the great task of spreading the good news which is that there “is” life after death through a process of rebuilding, and restoring. As she remains transparent about her journey, she encourages individuals entrapped in guilt and shame to “come out! “And as she embraces the truth, the choice, the freedom, the hope, the faith, the victory, the peace, the grace, the mercy, the purpose, and most importantly, the love,” this mighty woman is managing to lead humanity as a race into a place of healing, purpose, and destiny. Along with her personal declaration, God is marvelous; Renda’s favorite quote comes from the Bible, Philippians 4:13 which states, “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.” Her favorite song… Amazing Grace.

The Mountain of Miracles- Poem (Audio Version)

Price: $.99

The poem is a mixture of the theme of the story and the experience of Young's life. It not only encourages you to continue pushing forward when you are in a difficult circumstance, but it also gives you factual reasoning behind professing the victory that you foresee.

Young David and his grandfather, on their daily trek to find medicine to treat his grandfather's worsening illness, suddenly stumble upon a thriving, prosperous village one day. Filled with warm, personable individuals, the village is rife with the spirit of community and shared responsibility, and the two of them are instantly welcomed. Fitting right in, over the next few years the village ultimately becomes their new home, and all of them - David, his grandfather, and the villagers alike - couldn't be happier.

Eventually, everyone becomes aware of a special anointing on David's life: his gift of artistry. After amazing everyone with his ability to draw anything in precise, expert fashion. He accepts their request to become the lead art teacher for the community. It isn't long, though, before greed gets the best of David, and he begins charging fees for his teachings and services - which completely violates the communal spirit of the village. Though he is eventually shunned and ostracized for his actions, David refuses to relent, and his selfishness soon brings gloom and despair to everyone around him.

In light of the tragic circumstances that ensue, David is confronted with a life-altering decision: either amend his self-serving ways out of respect for his divine gifts, or live the rest of his life in self- imposed isolation, from which no one benefits in the end.

I Am A Man III by George Hunt

George Hunt was born more than 60 years ago of humble beginnings, and over a lifetime of living, learning, watching, growing, creating and translating his visions into paintings, he has emerged as one of the most important African-American artist in the South. George Hunt has made a significant mark on not just African-American art, but American art as a whole.

Memphis artist George Hunt was born in rural Louisiana, near Lake Charles, and his grandmother noted early in life that he had a special power to “see things.” In addition to large doses of indigenous music, one of the things he saw was the civil rights movement and that experience became a painting in 1997, which in turn, became a US Postage Stamp issued in 2005 as part of the United States Postal Service series, “To Form A More Perfect Nation.”

George Hunt was honored for his painting, “America Cares/Little Rock Nine” at ceremonies in Little Rock and Memphis. The paint was originally commissioned for the Central High School Museum, but first spent five years hanging in the White House in Washington, D.C. First Lady, Hillary Clinton, in a personal note to Mr. Hunt, wrote, “we are grateful that our visitors and staff have such a powerful image of hope and freedom to greet, inspire and inform them.”

In 2002, the U.S. Congress brought attention to America’s indigenous music by officially declaring 2003 as the “Year of the Blues.” George Hunt was named the Official Artist for the “Year of the Blues,” and he created a new body of work for a national tour. The exhibit, ‘Conjurating the Blues, The High Cotton Tour,” consisted of 26 large paintings that depicted the history of blues music in America. The title painting proudly hung in the grand lobby of Radio City Music Hall in New York during the opening tribute show for the Year of the Blues as Martin Scorcese filmed the documentary movie, “Lightnin’ in a Bottle.” The exhibit continued on to Seattle at Experience Music Project, Chicago, Memphis, Helena, AR (King Biscuit Festival) and Clarksdale, MS (Delta Blues Museum.)

George Hunt appeared at great length in many segments of the 13-part “Year of the Blues” PBS radio series telling vivid stories of his experience with blues music, rooted deep in the rural south. Later in 2003, the Blues Foundation bestowed a coveted “Keeping the Blues Alive” award on George.

George Hunt spent his childhood in Texas and Hot Springs, Arkansas. After high school, Hunt attended college at the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff on a football scholarship and studied art as a career. He did postgraduate studies at the University of Memphis and at New York University. Mr. Hunt spent three decades teaching art education and coaching at George Washington Carver High School in Memphis before dedicating full time to painting. He now works in a studio overlooking world-famous Beale Street.

Ninety-nine percent of what George Hunt paints come from the Southern African-American experience, especially the folk tradition, civil rights movement, the mythic heroism of Black manhood, and of course blues music and culture. His mother-in-law owned a jukejoint in Helena, Arkansas called the Dreamland Cafe. There, George Hunt listened to blues legends like Sonny Boy Williamson and watched the patrons dance, drink, eat catfish, court, sport and score. The visions for George Hunt's art have been steeped in the music and life passages of blues people.
